Morozov: Solving chess puzzles is an odd business. I couldn't figure out yesterday's. Today, I took fewer than five seconds to find it. I hope I would have seen this during live play. Better yet, I hope I would have noticed it as black, before the puzzles starts. Doubt it.

Morozov: 4/4. First time ever!

   Jun-16-11 Glek vs D Bunzmann, 2007 (replies)

Morozov: I'm new to these chess puzzles, but I am pleased to tell everyone that I have just solved my first Thursday! Actually, this was far easier than yesterday's! The Kg6 move was too difficult for me to see.

   Jun-15-11 O Engstrom vs A Koumtsis, 2007 (replies)

Morozov: After 30 minutes of searching for White's reply to Kg6, I gave up. Monday and Tuesday were cake, and then this.

   Aug-14-07 Lilienthal vs G Negyesy, 1931 (replies)

Morozov: I missed this puzzle. I originally looked at the 24. Qxd8+, but then turned away. I ended up with 24. Nd6, which threatens his rook on c4. Once he moves, I fork the rook and king with Nxf7+. My analysis could be incorrect, but either way, 24. Qxd8+ is clearly superior to 24. Nd6.

Morozov: Actually, I think everyone that answered my post is quite right, and so I have deleted them, because it is a matter that does not need to be further discussed. Your points are taken and I thank you for the insight.

   Jul-30-07 Capablanca vs B H Villegas, 1914 (replies)

Morozov: Darook, I have been looking at several possible outcomes given your line of play after 25...Rd2. Perhaps, I am wrong, but after 28 f3, the advantage seems to be distributed either equally or in favor of white. Please post if there is anything wrong with my analysis. Thank you. 24. ...

   Jul-26-07 Tal vs A Cherepkov, 1969 (replies)

Morozov: Why is 22...Kxh7 a poor move? More importantly, if Cherepkov could see why 22...Kxh7 is a poor move (assuming it is), how did he not see that 30...Rd6?? is a blunder if he was not prepared to lose his rook after 31...Bf6?

Jul-23-07 Nisipeanu vs Ivanchuk, 1999 (replies)

Morozov: I am quite perplexed. I really do not know why Ivanchuk moved there. Normally, with a blunder there is some reason for it. Kramnik missed the checkmate (Qh7 if I recall correctly) because of his superior pawn advantage, but I can't even see a plan with this one.

   Jul-23-07 L Didier vs Marshall, 1900 (replies)

Morozov: The real puzzle for this game was black's twenty-fourth move. It appears to me to be decisive.
