I'm fascinated by Opening theory, and would like to get a sterdy opening reportoire together.

I play 1. e4, and like the Ruy Lopez.

I play the Sicilian as Black, and 1...Nf6 against 1. d4, 1. c4, 1. Nf3, I also tend to like to king's side fianchetto as black, eg often play KID.

Really interested in meeting any graded OTB players out there.

PaulKeres: Yes, but its not ideal for players with different scores to play each other. Obviously though "7 pts v 6.5 pts" is fine though.

PaulKeres: <ChessJock> Quote "His overall performance was rated at 2430 (-253 below his elo). I don't believe you can cite one win as a come-back." I think brankat might have been a tad sarcastic when he said <A good come-back by Super GM N.Short>

PaulKeres: Ray, The Stauton Memorial is a great tournament with a strong field. I'm looking forward to it, and well done for organising it! However, isn't it a shame it overlaps with the British Championship? Ok, Mickey isn't going to play in the British, but players like Gawain Jones and ...

PaulKeres: I don't like the Chessvibes article actually. I think its not obvious its a joke, though its seems it is. And also there are many people who wouldn't read the article all the way through, just see the headline and think L'Ami has cheated. I'm very surprised that L'Ami agreed to ...
