   Jan-21-09 Gioachino Greco (replies)

Phantom.Nightmare: Quite funny that recorded in the database Greco scores 100%, though his games were against people who are hardly known.

   Jan-21-09 Y Hou vs Sasikiran, 2009 (replies)

Phantom.Nightmare: 25.Rad1! show it's clear that Hou Yifan is going to win.

   Jan-21-09 S Iskusnyh vs A Klimov, 2008 (replies)

Phantom.Nightmare: 9.Ba3 followed by 10.Qd8! wastes blacks tempo. White develops rapidly, which gives away the final result.

   Jan-19-09 Corus Group A (2009) (replies)

Phantom.Nightmare: kamsky-morozevich 1-0 Black's kingside is too weak! 34.Qh3! ended all black's hope

   Jan-19-09 G Kuzmin vs Sveshnikov, 1973 (replies)

Phantom.Nightmare: Sveshnikov weakens himself too much. White took advantage from 8..Bb4?!. 8..Bb4?! weakens the black squares too much after 9.Nc6 bxc6 followed by Na4. It will be better to transpose to scheveningen sicilian with 8..d6.

   Jan-19-09 G Kuzmin vs Alburt, 1971 (replies)

Phantom.Nightmare: Black attacks too slow, should've attacked more immediately. 12..Qb8 is very slow, since he played 16..Qb7 later. It's better to play 12..Ne8 with the same aim of controling the e5 square and also plans Ne8-c7-b6. The queen belongs in the b6 or a5 square.

   Jan-19-09 Corus Group B (2009) (replies)

Phantom.Nightmare: A memorable day for Hou Yifan!

Jan-18-09 Nijboer vs So, 2009 (replies)

Phantom.Nightmare: Impressive, though a long game full of chances of a draw...

Jan-18-09 Anand vs Macieja, 2000 (replies)

Phantom.Nightmare: This is easy, it's completely not insane, this should be rated as easy... It is obvious in such a predictable position. It's predictable that white have enough compensation for the bishop.

   Jan-17-09 Kosteniuk vs P Acs, 2003

Phantom.Nightmare: very close, favorable endgame positions for endgame players leading from the opening.
