Jan-10-06 Capablanca vs H Steiner, 1933
|
Prelude: It took me about 10 mins to find the winning move. Like YouRang I was convinced 24. Qe7+ was the correct move. Finally I found 24. Rxc6+. However, unlike Capa I was touching pieces and moving things all around the board before I found it - hehe |

Prelude: I found the winning f5 in about 20 seconds. My first thought was to displace the white queen off the d1-h5 diagonal. Nice puzzle today. |

Prelude: Anyone go through a variation for 14. Rde1 ?
Although white would lose the bishop it doesn't seem to immediately lead to mate. |
