Mar-18-18 AlphaZero vs Stockfish, 2017 (replies)

RAlehin: I thought 56… h6 was a mistake, weakening the pawn and opening an avenue towards white’s king, and that bringing white’s light-square bishop to g4 would have been better. But it only lures black’s rooks away from the main action and steals the g7 square from the black king. ...

RAlehin: Awesome play by Stockfish... until move 12 :-)

RAlehin: In earlier times (and even today) a handicap was used to level out the competition between opponents. I wonder how AlphaZero would handle such a situation.

   Feb-10-17 A Rudolf vs C Foisor, 2007

RAlehin: RIP Cristina-Adela. You gave the best of yourself every time, and that's what counts.

Dec-29-16 Spassky vs Petrosian, 1966 (replies)

RAlehin: @cg999 Boris Spassky had already encountered the same variation two years earlier, up to move 18 included. He was the one to deviate first.

Mar-22-14 Xu Tong vs Kieu Thien Kim Le, 2009

RAlehin: Doesn't 39... Rxg5+ win by force? This must have been some blunder just before time control.

   Jun-29-13 Lothar Schmid (replies)

RAlehin: Farewell, Mr Schmidt! Say hello to Bobby from all of us!

   Jun-29-13 O Barda vs Spassky, 1953 (replies)

RAlehin: It's the only game in the database with Spassky playing the Old Benoni... It must have been for fun.

   May-18-13 B L Shrestha vs A Montalvo, 2004

RAlehin: Wow, great defense. And it works a second time, should White refuse to take, say Kb5, then Rxc6!

   Apr-13-13 J H Jacobsen vs K Petersen, 2000

RAlehin: Pawn beginning and pawn ending
