"Chess is a game by its form, an art by its content and a science by the difficulty of gaining mastery in it. Chess can convey as much happiness as a good book or work of music can. However, it is necessary to learn to play well and only afterwards will one experience real delight." - Tigran Vartanovich Petrosian

Greetings! I am Rich C F Misa, a chess enthusiast since age 6. I got attracted to the 64 square phenomenon after chancing upon a game featured in a newspaper sports article. It read, "Tigran Petrosian-Boris Spassky 10th game 1966 title match". I was totally in awe as to how a player could sacrifice his rooks and still win!

I am currently rated 1784 in my country, having played a total of 12 Open Swiss (with a solo 5th finish as my highest achievement, scoring 5.5/7) and 3 Team Tournaments starting in 2007 manning first board and scored no lower than 50% everytime. I also am engaged in correspondence chess since 2000.

RcfM: Either Kramnik will play like Tal who doesn't mind losing or he'll just nosedive into oblivion throwing all his pieces at Caruana and then resign.

RcfM: I was just wondering if Giri's really working with Kramnik or is he really Ding's secret trainer?

RcfM: What has gotten into Ivanchuk's mind that he decided to skip the Olympiad for the chance to play in a draughts tournament? Money? Or he just lost the appetite for chess?

RcfM: Very sad day for Giri fans. He has only managed two draws out of 5 games.
