   Jul-21-03 B Avrukh vs A Aleksandrov, 2002

Reverser: Very nice game by Avrukh. He doubles the white e pawn, then go for the exchanges, attack the 2nd rank, force the white's rook to defend the f pawn and then simply grab the pawns. This is truly what i would call a beautiful game even if there's no really spectacular moves. I ...

Jul-16-03 Anderssen vs Steinitz, 1866 (replies)

Reverser: Really nice game by steinitz. But there's a move that seems quite mysterious to me it's 20. .. Ra7. Is it an answer to a tactic threat i don't see or is it a strategic move like planning to double the rook at some point(which didn't happen)?

Jun-30-03 Tal vs Semenkin, 1954 (replies)

Reverser: I probably miss something here but why not 17 .. Qxe3+ and then 18 .. Qxg5?

Jun-23-03 Alekhine vs Gutkevich, 1910 (replies)

Reverser: of course Qxh6,i knew i missed something obvious. Thanks jonber.

Jun-02-03 Yermolinsky vs Piket, 1997 (replies)

Reverser: there are some strange moves in this game like 12 .. Ne8. I don't like this move much, of course it's to protect the poor a6 pawn but i think that making it a gambit was better(anyway wasn't b5 a gambit?). With those knight moves the queen can't move to link the rooks and the ...

Jun-01-03 Kasparov vs Pigusov, 1977 (replies)

Reverser: in the variation given by patzer2 i don't see why Bh7+ is needed... 32. Qh6+ Kg8 33. Qh7+ Kf8 34. Qh8# seems all right :)

   May-28-03 I Maclellan vs D Thompson, 1984 (replies)

Reverser: Anyone could help me on this line after 4 .. Bg4, i often get in trouble. If i castle then the other player usually play Nd4 and i'm forced to take back with g pawn which usually leads to Bh3 with black getting a big attack on my king(which is not really the idea when playing the ...

   May-19-03 Sicilian, Alapin (B22) (replies)

Reverser: There is a line that i like quite much with the alapin sicilian because it permits, most of the time, to get back into an usual sicilian construction. It's 2... Qa5, ok it seems like a weirdo move(and that's probably is), but it permits to avoid a symetrical construction as white ...
