   Mar-11-13 J Emms vs A Ledger, 1999

Snakebite: What is wrong with 14 Bxh7+ Kxh7 15 Ng5 and if 15...fxg5 16 Qh5+ and swinging the rook via d3 into the attack and if 15...Kg7 16 Qg5?

   Apr-30-12 A Ledger vs G Gaehwiler, 2012

Snakebite: I really enjoyed this game. Goes from a nice calm positional struggle to a tactical mess after 15..Na5. After which black fails to break out of white's bind.

Jul-23-11 Biel Chess Festival (2011) (replies)

Snakebite: Any guesses on which opening will feature in Vachier-Lagrave versus Carslen today. Last time they played it was a Berlin. I'd love a Grunfeld or a Najdorf....although Carlsen seems to have turned away from Sicilians this year.

   Jun-04-11 Timman vs Kasparov, 1998

Snakebite: 19 exd4? Does seem to restrict the black knight. Is Ba8 and Nb6-c4 the way to go?

   Apr-15-11 T Sachdev vs S Volkov, 2011 (replies)

Snakebite: What is the follow up?

   Apr-06-11 European Championship (2011) (replies)

Snakebite: Maybe it was a mistake that Judith didn't play on for glory in the last round - after all she was on a good run. However, what do you propose we do about it? Stick some thumb screws on her for a week after the closing ceremony?

   Aug-02-10 S Gordon vs Adams, 2010 (replies)

Snakebite: Smileshire, I was talking about the position before Rd1 was played, as I don't think Gordon had any advantage, and possibly a slight disadvantage.

   Feb-16-10 Linares (2010) (replies)

Snakebite: I would play a double bluff if I were Topalov - avoid my main lines for a year, then play the alternative (1 e4 e5) that I had had a year to prepare/practice!

   Feb-12-10 Khalifman vs M Sebag, 2010 (replies)

Snakebite: 15...Qxd4

Dec-10-09 London Chess Classic (2009) (replies)

Snakebite: Does it really surprise anyone that Luke dodged the Lopez? He can't really be expected to have a job and keep up with all that theory. Scotch and Bishop's opening seem much less theory intensive. Luke/Vlad to draw?
