   Jan-14-06 Sicilian (B33) (replies)

SnipingBishop: <aw1988> Seeing you are a sveshnikov player, i wanna ask you how you cope with the vast amount of theory and how you learned the opening (as well as your opinions about some of the variations). I play the dragon which has basically been my defence during my entire 5 to 6

   Dec-29-04 Magnus Carlsen (replies)

SnipingBishop: Im gonna say something pretty obvious here but anyway... HE IS JUST A KID OMG :/ btw exactly how old is he?

Dec-29-04 Ljubojevic vs Kasparov, 1994 (replies)

SnipingBishop: *sigh* i wonder sometimes y i am playing chess...maybe ill throw away the pieces and play checkers. But of course you are correct. i was careless...oh NO, the delete message button is not there anymore! Now everyone will c my stupidness :)

   Dec-28-04 Chessgames - Beer (replies)

SnipingBishop: HAHA how the hoola did the topic reach to this?!?! lol i have a serious suspician that people also drink while they kibitz ;) <Dave Murray> said <I have an idea on how to popularize chess> I dont really care if chess does not get so popular that people put it on TV

   Dec-28-04 Aron Nimzowitsch (replies)

SnipingBishop: <thanks to great theoreticians like Nimzowitsch> lol, it is exactly this accumulation of all this positional knowledge that the chess players of today have to study heaps and heaps of stuff. While GMs like Kasparov have can spend all their time doing this, i certainly ...

   Dec-28-04 K Richter vs Gruenfeld, 1928 (replies)

SnipingBishop: Far out. Italian officials have said that they estimate the number will soon exceed 10,000!!! Man, its like the stuff that people see on movies except its real :|

   Dec-27-04 Polugaevsky vs R Nezhmetdinov, 1958 (replies)

SnipingBishop: Sorry for posting such an OTT lenghty post but, your welcome <ArturoRivera>:-)

   Dec-27-04 Nigel Davies (replies)

SnipingBishop: Davies is a good chess bookwriter. I got his book on the Reti System. I recommend it anyone who wants to play this sophisticated opening. Its title is "the dynamic reti" and is published by Everyman Chess.

   Dec-27-04 J Littlewood vs G Abrahams, 1962 (replies)

SnipingBishop: Ng6+! is obvious as it opens up the king which is a bit short of flight squares. Easy but very pretty though.

Dec-26-04 Sicilian, Dragon Variation (B70) (replies)

SnipingBishop: Oh yeah BTW i dont get how 2...g6 can avoid 3 c3. Wont White still be able to support his d pawn and establish a strong centre with pawns on e4 and d4?
