Mar-17-06 T Reilly vs G West, 1995
aerohacedor: I'm mildly surprised by the name of this combination: Nescafe Frappe Attack. Can anyone enlighten me on how it came to be called that? |

Jan-30-06 Lagno vs S Shepeleva, 2001
aerohacedor: Now, this was easy. Smash the queen into the pawn and voila. Queen sacrifice is a running motif of Monday's puzzles. :-) |

Jan-26-06 Bird vs E Schallopp, 1885
aerohacedor: The black queen was quite active in the beginning of the game. If I had played this opening, i'd be more cautious probably. |

Jan-17-06 E Kengis vs Kasparov, 1973
aerohacedor: Is 25 Qf6 a mistake?
Wouldn't it be better if Kengis moved h7+ instead? It doesn't seem like the king has anywhere to go after being checked by the pawn, which is protected by the rook and queen. |

Jan-07-06 Krasenkow vs Sveshnikov, 1992
aerohacedor: <patzer2> Thanks for posting all those variations. The last puzzle in my opinion can be solved by 24. Nf7 Qf7 25. Qe5+ Qg7 26. Qg7+ |

Jan-05-06 Ivanchuk vs Kasparov, 1994
aerohacedor: Had Ivanchuck played 14. Ne7 instead of b4, it would have been an easy mate. |
