alekhine101: Awesome game. I remember reading somewhere that Anand's second Ubilava who was watching the game, screamed "No" almost the instant Anand played Nb6. But I still wonder if its the pressure of the World Championship that got to Anand. Anand has played some pretty awesome ... |

Aug-10-06 Kramnik - Topalov World Championship Match (2006)
|
alekhine101: i think the old format(pre 95) or thereabouts was the best. it not only gets the best challenger of the lot, but also gives substance to the title of the world champion. the current format reduces the world championship to a mere tournament. anyways, opinions apart, i think ... |

Kramnik vs Topalov, 2003
Couple of things to note. Kramnik kicks Topalov's butt in a Sicilian, in the end Topalov is a rook up but its of no use and the icing on the cake is the fact that it was a blindfold game. |
