Attorney in Virginia. Not very good at chess but enthusiastically learning. The chess board I put in my office has begun to interfere with my work:). Currently reading Silman "The Amateur's Mind", "Chess Strategy" and referring to Schiller's "Standard Chess Openings".

bitstream5: i am missing something obvious as a newbie or maybe it is too late in the day for analysis. why suggest 13. Qg6+ if it may be followed by fxg6. Why wouldnt black take the queen on g6 with his pawn??? instead of following Morphy's suggested line proceeding ...Kh8?
