   Dec-10-12 C F Johansson vs M Hernback, 1997 (replies)

captainandrewwiggins: gained a pawn at the expense of a rook. black must have been rubbing his hands with glee at white's oversight; little did he know that he would resign just two move later.

   Nov-12-12 D Antic vs D Milanovic, 1996 (replies)

captainandrewwiggins: now why is it that i saw the answer to this one? why? i just saw it, like a man sees the way through a maze that's wide open and not complicated.

   Oct-31-12 Z Necesany vs V Zagorovsky, 1972 (replies)

captainandrewwiggins: Surely Abdel Irada and Once are the same person writing under different aliases, for they write in the same grand style, that makes the reader take a keen interest in the subject matter, which would otherwise be quite prosaic.

Oct-30-12 de Firmian vs G Burgess, 1995 (replies)

captainandrewwiggins: <Infohunter: <Gregor Samsa Mendel: I found this position easier than yesterday's.> So did I.> I'm still sore from yesterday. if 40. bh6+, Qxh6+ - the latter black move also results in a check, which i would have missed, surely, but for yesterday's ...

captainandrewwiggins: >>Phony Benoni: This may be amusing. There might be some solutions featuring ...Qg1#. I believe mistakes should be made only once in chess. any more and we make ourselves to be fools, returning back again to the vomit. those of us who take it more seriously would ...

   Oct-24-12 J Wyss vs B Bellahcene, 2012 (replies)

captainandrewwiggins: at move 12 white looks like he's in control but i think from there on blunders. he's got a good position on the centre, but it could be consolidated. i feel that h4 was a fatal mistake. something resolving or blocking up the centre IMO would have been better.

   Oct-23-12 C van den Berg vs J H Donner, 1963 (replies)

captainandrewwiggins: i couldn't see this one after a perfunctory glance. i'm disappointed with myself.

   Oct-22-12 J Rowson vs A Ledger, 1995 (replies)

captainandrewwiggins: Rook to h8+ looks like a forcing move. this is not easy for monday. i hope i am correct otherwise i will be embarrassed.

   Oct-18-12 Plachetka vs L Zinn, 1974 (replies)

captainandrewwiggins: kasputine: The critical line is the following: 12 ... Nf6 13 Ng4 gxh5 14 Nxf6 Kh8 (Kg7 leads to mate) 15 Rxh5 h6 no i think 15. Knxh5+ (discovered check) might be a better line requiring only rg3#

   Oct-17-12 D Komljenovic vs N A Legky, 1995 (replies)

captainandrewwiggins: black's pesky knight is in the way and ruining everything!
