This is the profile of FM Rauan Sagit. I have been competing from time to time for several years now, and at the moment I have ELO 2368. I have recently completed a unique 2 year chess education lead by GM Evgeny Agrest. I play for a team called Team Viking and we actually have a blog page where we write about chess and recommend chess games. You are very welcome to check it out! The more readers and followers we have, the more motivation we get to post high quality content and to discuss how to improve your and our chess!

   Feb-24-12 J Hellsten vs R Sagit, 2006

chess.sagit: After 21.Rad1 perhaps black had a chance to keep material balance after 21...Qe7 22.Qd2 Rc6 23.Qxa5 Bc2 and somehow tactics could balance the position. I got interested in playing more offensive moves. After 22...Rxd2 23.Qxd2 Be7 the position should be balanced. Perhaps I wanted

chess.sagit: I think that McShane reached a point in this game where the had to sac the exchange to remain in the game. Perhaps he could prepare f2-f4 with 22.Qh3 and 23.Kh2? I thought this game was interesting so I mentioned it in my team's blog ( http://chess-team-viking-swe.blogsp... ). ...

chess.sagit: A very nice combination, actually.

chess.sagit: Seriously, very nice game!

   Oct-06-10 Unzicker vs Stahlberg, 1960

chess.sagit: Very nice combination...

   May-18-10 H Vedder vs T Michalczak, 2009

chess.sagit: Very tough battle, I found this game when I was looking for a weapon with the Black pieces against 1.Nc3 :) In this game, black could have been more patient with 20...f4 followed by g6-g5-g4. But the bishop sack and two open kings was great :)

   Jan-17-10 Shirov vs Ljubojevic, 1996

chess.sagit: Wow, excellent attack by Shirov...
