Sep-17-16 Carlsen - Karjakin World Championship Match (2016) (replies)

chessdrummer: Hey WannaBe! I need your permission to use a photo on a players page. I don't know how to contact you, but I'm at webmaster at thechessdrum dot net. I hope to be at the WCC even if it's only a few days.

   Jul-31-12 Ronald Washington (replies)

chessdrummer: Chicago's Ron Washington, 1951-2012... http://www.thechessdrum.net/blog/20...

   Mar-30-11 Nyback vs S Matthews, 2006

chessdrummer: The player with black is named "Shane" not "Sidley". This is a game where white was accused of cheating. In this game he picked up his king to play 47.Kf4 and then placed it back on e3 and then played 47.Bc3. There was a protest from Matthews, but Nyback said he was adjusting ...

   Apr-05-08 N Rogers vs A Simutowe, 2001

chessdrummer: Rogers won and also beat Simutowe a couple of weeks later at the Wilbert Paige.

   Sep-10-07 Robert Gwaze (replies)

chessdrummer: All of the information from "The Zimbabwean" was taken from two specific links. They basically plagiarized without providing the source. http://www.thechessdrum.net/talking... http://www.thechessdrum.net/65thSqu... Gwaze is certainly a fine talent.

   Oct-28-06 Pontus Carlsson (replies)

chessdrummer: No moonlitknight... Carlsson has been improving steadily the past couple of years and has earned several IM norms (and the title) and two GM norms. He will turn 24 in December. http://www.google.com/custom?q=carl...

   Jun-15-05 Motylev vs D Laylo, 2005 (replies)

chessdrummer: This game was 0-1 as I understand it.

Jun-15-05 Ehlvest vs Nakamura, 2005 (replies)

chessdrummer: Nakamura won this game and told me in an interview it was his best. He also was +4 which isn't bad in a strong field.

   Jun-15-05 A Simutowe vs P Atoofi, 2005

chessdrummer: Amon is a finance/economics student at University of Texas-Dallas. There is a longer bio at http://www.thechessdrum.net/talking...

   Apr-26-05 King's Pawn Game (C20) (replies)

chessdrummer: See the article at The Chess Drum (www.thechessdrum.net) titled, "Nakamura dives into the Matrix." There are also links at the bottom of the article about 2.Qh5. I believe we associate 2.Qh5 with what beginner's play when they learn chess, but it is quite playable.
