goosesmack2: course i am, i mean once you have realized that, you can be an old fool from the street or smarter, but someone like you, who believes short is over 2700, is under an old fool

goosesmack2: <frogbert> well it definitely is true that you get into more fights than when you first joined the site?

   Aug-18-09 Dmitry Jakovenko (replies)

goosesmack2: it is good to see jakovenko on his way out of the top 10, as he definitely does not deserve to be there... everyone talks about his amazing endgames but they really are not anything spectacular... try checking some out by kramnik or ponomariov or capablanca or akiba rubinstein ...

   Aug-18-09 Alexander Grischuk (replies)

goosesmack2: grischuk is extremely overrated and has been getting lucky in the recent years... he does not deserve to be anywhere near the top 20, and is one of the most overrated players there

goosesmack2: maoam: <goosemack> It must be pretty obviously a draw to a GM like you though surely, <goosey>? while very exciting, as this game petered out to the endgame, it clearly became a draw

goosesmack2: well, <timhortons> we will see, but i doubt that naka will go through the tournament without a loss

goosesmack2: GO ARMENIA!!!

   Aug-18-09 Alexander Morozevich (replies)

goosesmack2: very nice game, moro's against avrukh... moro is supposed to excel in complications, but in this game, he simply folded under the non-existent attack of avrukhs while missing many very simple wins... Is this really how a top 20 GM plays?

   Aug-17-09 Ray Robson (replies)

goosesmack2: <jsy> actually it seems to me pretty obvious where i got it from... you see 1/3 is 33%... so if you count rating as 50% of becoming a GM and norms as the other 50%, which would make sense, he has his 50% from the rating, and 1/3 of his 50% from his one norm... If you know ...
