goragoragora: Here we here we here we here we GO! Where we stop nobody KNOWS! ...gonna have a ball tonite! Young Gazz creates true artistry on the Chessboard. 17...0-0-0! is great, preventing Qd4. If 17 Qd4, then 17...Nc2! would have been crisp. I've blown the whole day on ...

goragoragora: Yeah, that's what I was wondering too, since I was just looking at 27...Nxh3+ as a response. Actually 27...Nxf3+! is fairly stiff. White has to take, unless he just wants to give back the exchange, but after 28 Bxf3 Qxf3 it looks like the compensation on that long

goragoragora: Young Garry's style needs some ironing out since here Black should have clearly played 15...Nxf4! first, before playing ...Bxb2. Young Garry's play is impressive tactically, but not impressive positionally. 13 cxb4? is a terrible move, and his next move ...

goragoragora: There are problems with young Gazz' style that need ironing out.

   Feb-16-06 L Zaid vs Kasparov, 1977 (replies)

goragoragora: Gazz is whipped here. He's losing his bishop. This is actually a great game by Zaid. Both sides showed a pretty good understanding of the opening.

Feb-16-06 Kasparov vs Yurtaev, 1975 (replies)

goragoragora: It's too lame. I forget what book both games were featured in. I had to throw many of my books out.

goragoragora: Great Chess by both sides here. White blundered by 69 Kxd6? at the end. Actually, 69 R4h6! would be rather hard for Black to handle.

   Feb-16-06 B Maryasin vs Kasparov, 1978 (replies)

goragoragora: Suspicious. The 'Fall Guy' memorial?

   Feb-16-06 A Ambartsoumian vs Kasparov, 1978 (replies)

goragoragora: Certainly a great tactical game by young Gazz, and we can appreciate that he didn't want to choose 20...Bxd5 21 Nxd5 Qxh2+, which wins fairly prosaically. Hard to see all the mates, such as 22 Bxf7 Qxg2+ 23 Ke1 (23 Ke2 Qxf2+ 24 Kd3 Ne5 mate!) Qg1+ 24 Kd2

Feb-16-06 Alekhine vs M Vasic Miles, 1931 (replies)

goragoragora: I had one dollar last Monday (three days ago). I've got 38 cents now.
