I learned chess during elementary school, I totally forgot about it for at least 15 years. A friend of mine, who is a great chess player (around 1800-1900) (according to my newly acquired and humble talent it is very good to have that kind of rating) told me lets play a game!
I have not stopped playing since then, it wat last november. I won 2 games out of 80 and drawn 2 others against that guy. I just bought my first book, just tried my first internet games and I love it. I guess i'm going to have a lot to say about this game in 20 years... bio, part two.
First year of real chess, still loving it.
Raised my net rating to 1450 more or less
getting better at the scotch, but just cant get a grip at the sicilian. I don't know why but i just dont like it...

howardtheduck: I don't get why kramnik bashing does exist! He is good, better than all of us. He's been the best for at least one day in his life for sure. No, he is not too fun to watch and some of his games are among the most boring ones, but he stills can win against anyone. Not always, ...

howardtheduck: Just to fallow chessgame "etiquette" Am I wrong to think that BEER and KIBITZER CAFE are open for any subjects? If not, please tell me and I will gladly apply the rules. Dont be shy, i'm open minded....
Sep-09-05 FIDE World Championship Tournament (2005) (replies)
howardtheduck: There should be a time period every two years kept free of major tournaments in order to present a championship match. Therefore the champ cant hide or flee in front of the competition. Some questions remains, how to determine who would be the challenger, where to play, what ...

howardtheduck: <Rookfile> Don't put too much hope into bloodgood's grob. It will bring very open aggressive games but its full of holes, dangerous against good positional players (if not completely unsound). Still fun to play, brings out creative chess and change from the usual...

howardtheduck: <Bent> I play chess on the net like I sometimes eat fastfood. its fast, fun, but less than the otb games. So, to me, online chess is a lesser but still amusing form of chess.

howardtheduck: I've seen roddick play in montreal open 2003. He won the tournament on his service alone. Wich means that he wont stay on top for long because it is a very demanding style and will get hurt or tired on the long run. but when on top of his game and mentally focused... what an ...

howardtheduck: I noticed they werent forced, but thats the greatness of the two knights attacks, backed with rooks, they are treacherous for the defender and amazingly tricky
