hypermod: @asianwarrior I may be wrong but I believe that 47.Bxb6 followed by an immediate Rh7 (as you suggested) loses for Black on the spot, because of 48. Re3+. But if instead Black plays 47..Rg1+ first it's perpetual:(48. Kh3 Rh1+ 49. Kg2 Rg1+). I think the best White had was a draw ... |

hypermod: Shams, you are suggesting 5...e5? After 6.dxe how is White being "tested"? I don't see it. It seems to me that your move, followed by dxe, weakens f7, constrains the knight on g8, opens the d file for White, and to top it all off loses a pawn. Is there something I am missing? |
