   Mar-31-14 G Walker vs Harrwitz, 1846 (replies)

Oct-29-13 Anand - Carlsen World Championship Match (2013) (replies)

jefballard: The final game in the Sinquefield Cup told me everything about Carlsens determination and nerves. The second strongest player in the world offered him a draw, the money, and the title. Carlsen said no with his 48th move and proceeded to crush Aronian. Amazing.

   Feb-20-13 P N Andreasen vs Baklan, 2013

jefballard: What am I missing? Andreasen doesn't like to play without two rooks?

Dec-06-12 London Chess Classic (2012) (replies)

jefballard: Carlsen vs Polgar 1-0, Nakamura vs Carlsen 1-0, and Carlsen vs Anand 1/2-1/2

Sep-27-12 F Vallejo Pons vs Carlsen, 2012 (replies)

jefballard: Question from a novice... why doesn't Vallejo-Pons take the A pawn on move 31? Does the Rook present a threat to the A file that I don't see? I thought anytime you can collect material and isolate pawns you do it.

Sep-06-12 Kramnik vs Aronian, 2012 (replies)

jefballard: Future GOTD

   Aug-16-12 Jakovenko vs E Alekseev, 2012

jefballard: A great 'guess the move' game.

Aug-15-12 Tal vs Gligoric, 1968 (replies)

jefballard: Were there only 32 pieces on the board when they started? They traded off so much it seemed like more. Two heavyweights standing toe to toe throwing haymakers. Wow.
