   Feb-07-07 Westerinen vs G Sigurjonsson, 1977 (replies)

ksh123: I thought of 25. Bc1, attacking the black's queen and threatening 26. Qxg7#. The only way black could prevent mate was by giving up his queen. Looks like that would do as well.

   Feb-05-07 Smyslov vs D E Rumens, 1976 (replies)

ksh123: Well, I think is this game is more about black losing rather than white winning. I dont find any advantage with white after move 30. Also, I dont get the pun either...

   Feb-03-07 M Wilder vs A Lein, 1981 (replies)

ksh123: My solution was 22. Rxe6 first followed by 23. Bxh6. Looks like that would work as well. Good puzzle!

   Jan-26-07 R Michell vs Tartakower, 1925 (replies)

ksh123: Took me about 5 mins but I got it. Feels nice to crack a Friday puzzle, which I rarely get.

   Jan-25-07 G Sigurjonsson vs A S Segal, 1968 (replies)

ksh123: <princeofdragons> I agree with that. In fact, my solution was 21. Rg6 instead of 21. Qh6, thus trapping the black's queen.

   Jan-07-07 Fedorov vs N Miezis, 2000 (replies)

ksh123: Beautiful combination! I got the first two moves, but could'nt continue after that.

   Nov-28-06 Lasker / Saulson / Rhodus / Wilcox vs Johnston / Uedemann / Phillips / L, 1902 (replies)

ksh123: Why did'nt black play 26 ...Re1, which would have been a clear win for black? White only has 2 pieces defending the square e1, while black has both the rooks and the queen.

   Nov-21-06 D Andric vs L Santolini, 1981 (replies)

ksh123: Took me about 10 seconds to crack this one...

   Nov-16-06 S Conquest vs I Morovic Fernandez, 1996 (replies)

ksh123: I found it! This is my first success with a Thursday puzzle...feels great!

   Nov-05-06 M Czerniak vs U Rueetschi, 1981 (replies)

ksh123: I got the solution upto 23...Kh8 but couldnt find the finishing line. However, although I havent fully analysed the game, I think that there is a better move to black's 30...Qc6. Probably 30...Qc7.
