On the other hand, perhaps white would have been more decisive if he played 30.Rxg6, as far as I can tell mate is pretty close after that.      Aug-21-04 Anand vs Dreev, 1991    necrosis: 31.Rc3 is such a good move, allowing the queen and knight access to the third rank.      Aug-20-04 Anand vs P H Nielsen, 2003    necrosis: greystar, i think 30...Rf4 prevents your line, but the main line still stands after this move. not really looked at it closely though. just out of interest- what is the time control in a rapid match?      May-16-04 K Kachiani-Gersinska vs Nunn, 1994    necrosis: actually on closer inspection 30...Nc5 31.Bxe8 Ne4 32.Kg1 Nxg3 loses to 33.Rh2 and 32...Nxf2 looks like it would lose to 33.Qxf2 Rxf2 34.Kxf2, queen vs 2 rooks and a bishop? oh well.
