Jan-14-14 Tata Steel Challengers (2014) (replies)
niemzo: So no rest day for the B group today. It was a bloodbath as well today.
Nov-10-13 European Team Championship (2013) (replies)
niemzo: Turkey wins, Greece wins and Scotland takes a draw from Serbia. Russia seems to have problems with the 2nd round of tournaments. They lost against Greece 3 years ago again in the 2nd round.
Sep-28-13 FIDE Women's Grand Prix Tashkent (2013) (replies)
niemzo: All 3 leaders lose. This is like the candidates. Kotenasvili could even win this now.
   Sep-25-13 Irina Krush (replies)
niemzo: She is close to getting one in the Baku Open, as well. Her performance rating after 7 rounds is 2618. If she wins her next game, it's possible that she will make it even if she loses the last game, given that she will probably play someone quite highly rated.
   Sep-01-13 World Cup (2013) (replies)
niemzo: <keithbc> Actually, it has to do with the electronic board. To transmit the result you need to do that.
Aug-17-13 Le Quang Liem vs Grischuk, 2013 (replies)
niemzo: If the pawn endgame is lost, and it seems pretty bad, this game shows a weakness of computer chess. Houdini in the official site was giving it 0.3. I think it's the horizon effect at work here or something similar.
   Aug-11-13 Samy Shoker (replies)
niemzo: He didn't manage to score another win against Shak today. It was a rather short game.
   Aug-08-13 British Championship (2013) (replies)
niemzo: A great performance and a deserved win. He was a bit lucky against Williams but who won a chess tournament with no luck?
Aug-06-13 Le Thao Nguyen Pham vs A Zatonskih, 2012 (replies)
niemzo: It is remarkable that Bxd7? is a blunder.
   Aug-05-13 Alan Turing (replies)
niemzo: Ruben Fine's remarks make you realize what nonsense even intelligent people used to believe in the past. I wonder if things we now hold as common sense will seem so bizarre to future generations.
