   Feb-05-05 G Desportes vs Kramnik, 2000 (replies)
northbridge: Desportes, Gerard FRA 2037 ELO At least Kramnik lost to a pretty good player, I wonder how things would have turned out if it wasn't for 40. ... Qf5?? I think these are the kind of games that Kasparov tries to avoid by not playing 2000+ players in simuls :D
   Jan-30-05 Corus Group A (2005) (replies)
northbridge: 9.5 / 13 for Karjakin ... at this pace he should make it to group A next year.
   Jan-25-05 Vladimir Kramnik (replies)
northbridge: <hinza: I doubt it would take to the reforms> I'm not expecting any changes to be made either, there are too many people that have an interest to let things stay as they are.
   Jan-14-05 Garry Kasparov (replies)
northbridge: <you don't have to play basketball to know who Kobe Bryant, you don't need to play Golf in order to know who Tiger Woods is, etc. I would say that most non chess players have any idea who the World Champion is ...> It's more or less the same thing with chess, the problem ...
   Jan-14-05 Indochess Man - Machine (2005) (replies)
northbridge: <It is not a game to be proud of, it was a typical anti-computer chess game.> I don't see anything wrong with playing anti-computer chess, you make it sound like it was almost cheating. Anti-computer chess is a way to exploit the weaknesses of the opponent just like the ...
   Jan-12-05 T Purnama vs Junior, 2005 (replies)
northbridge: Wow ... 25. Kg1??? What a blunder, after the obvious 25. Qxf2 white is clearly better. This is one of the worst blunders I've ever seen. I even checked it with Fritz to make sure there were no tactics and after 25.Kg1 the score drops from +1.7 to -7.5.
Jan-09-05 Tal vs Speelman, 1988 (replies)
northbridge: I was looking at 22. Bxd6 if exd6 23. Nh7+ wins, but black doesn't have to accept the bishop sac. 22. Nxf7 crossed my mind, but 22...Rb3! is excellent. I wasn't even close to figuring that one out, let alone the 12 move continuation that followed it. When looking at the board ...
   Jan-08-05 K Gerasimov vs Smyslov, 1935 (replies)
northbridge: This "kill message" option should be replaced with an "edit message". I deleted my message just before you posted.
   Jan-07-05 NN vs R Crepeaux, 1923 (replies)
northbridge: I thought 11. ... Nxf3 would win, but after 12. Rxf3 the white king has space to run.
Jan-05-05 SmartFish Chess Masters (2004) (replies)
northbridge: 4.5 / 9 Not bad for Kortchnoi
