Hi, I'm from Minnesota! I started playing tournament chess during my freshman year of college (1988). Learned the game at age 9. I have a current USCF rating of 2054. My favorite chess player would definitely be the "Wizard from Riga" Mikhail Tal!!--Loved it when he beat Rafael Vaganian to win the World's Blitz Championship back in 1987! It's a shame that the chess world lost such a brilliant player at such a very young age of 56. I am an absolute chess finatic -- can't get enough of the game! Shall we play a game?
