prolixity: No comment yet on this game?! Is anyone else watching this?! I mean PapaCapa just shows a great plan for white: take over center then when black successfully neutralizes that start attack with a4 proceed to milk for all its worth while continuing development NOW LOOK FOR TACTICS ...

prolixity: I think anand will win. after he wins the pawn his own pawn should be able to march...if he has enough time.

prolixity: I think white's pawns (f3, g2, h4) will fall via a rook lift (Rf5>Rh5 etc). The black King and Bishop should be able to maintain a6 and b7 in the meantime.

prolixity: I just learned a great endgame lesson from this game; bringing the king to help your passed pawns in a QKvsQK is essential. Did anyone else notice how the checks against Black's King in the endgame really just help the King get into an even better position to achieve the above ...

prolixity: Oh, also must point out that 6...Qc7 is the best way to counter-attack against white's 6.f4 (i.e. Grand Prix attack etc) which seems to be so popular these days--very important idea for sicilian players to remember!

prolixity: I think anand is heading for something amazing along the lines of getting the knight to f3 for an attack against the King. If now white takes the pawn then Knight moves to c4, then d2 and then f3. A Rook might be able to make its way over also either by taking the pawn at c3 but I
