Chigorin's 6.d5 seems dubious. 6.Re1 Nd6 would lead to normal Berlin positions. 8.dxc6? was a mistake. Instead 8.Nxe5 cxd5 9.Qxd5 dissolves the center pawns and is equal. Zuckertort's 8...f6! holding the e5 pawn was good. Black got the better of the opening with center ...
