Atlanta USA.
Unrated but definetely under 1800. I have days that I can steamroll better players and days that I will lose to weaker players.
I like chess so much BECAUSE I have no natural ability for it.
Chess history and playing over games interests me almost as much as playing the game itself. But I don't really "study" the game, I more enjoy a game of chess like I would a song or a film.
So my progress is slow, I would rather learn chess by osmosis than by a studious, memorization based approach. I've discovered secrets of the game by accident, forgotten them and discovered them all over again.
Fave players..The old guard guys, maybe its just a romantic notion, but I believe that the older players played out of a love for the game more than modern players. They had no computers, few books, travel was difficult. Many persisted through war and poverty to leave their mark on the history of chess.
So anyways fave players-Alekhine, Keres, Morphy, Capablanca, Fischer, Bronstein.
I play on ICC and playchess under a similar user name.
