I am the great great grandson of Preston Ware. First president of the American chess Federation. If anyone out there has a derogatory comment about his opening or the apparent throwing of a match in 1880, I would be happy to meet them and place a fist on their nose.

thelivingprestonware: Maybe we are reading too much into our analysis.Perhaps they had a glass or two on the break during this long match.Everybody makes a bad move. Not enough to hang the guy out on a clothes line.
