I started playing chess a year or two ago so I could understand what all the fuss was about. I am now a class C player who has probably hit his ceiling. My favorite player is Viktor Bologan, mostly because I read his book, but if I could play like anyone it would be Mikhail Chigorin.

ps. I don't know whose baby is my avatar.

yell0wd0g: I've recently switched to playing Philidor's defense in order to improve my positional play. I think 3 ...Nd7 is inaccurate; better seems to be 3 ... Nf6. If 4 dxe5 then Nxe4 5 Qd5 Nc5 leads back into lines which are edgy but maybe equal. On the other hand, with 3...Nd7 it often ...

yell0wd0g: Yes, <Shams>-- sorry, 62 Rxf7 (_not_ 52 Rxf7), and now I see your continuation.
