   Oct-05-24 J Polgar vs Shirov, 1994 (replies)

MatrixManNe0: Are we sure that 12. h3 was the move here? My book (Sicilian Love) says that 12. b3 was played, threatening Ba3, and forcing black to make the decision with 12... Bxc1

May-05-23 Petrosian vs Tal, 1962 (replies)

MatrixManNe0: Very strange, Timman's tournament book gives the following as the final moves: 58. d5 Kg5 59. h6 exd5 60. Rxd5+ Kg6 61. Rd6+ Kg5 62. h7 Rb8 63. Rd1 Rh8 64. Rh1 But it makes no sense to me why Tal would have chosen 60... Kg6?? instead of the wildly obvious 60... Kxh6 in this ...

   Mar-19-23 Emanuel Lasker (replies)

MatrixManNe0: I've been reading through the games in the St. Petersburg 1914 tournament. It's wild just how good Lasker was, and for how long he was good.

   Mar-18-23 Vasyl Ivanchuk (replies)

MatrixManNe0: How is the list of “Notable Tournaments” decided? Feel like Linares 1991 should be listed.

   Mar-16-23 Vachier-Lagrave vs Nepomniachtchi, 2021

MatrixManNe0: MVL played 26. Nd7 here, and then Ivanchuk thought it was cool and played it himself a year later

   Mar-06-23 M Warmerdam vs O Badelka, 2023 (replies)

MatrixManNe0: 47. Bd7!!

   Oct-14-22 P K Wells vs P Littlewood, 2010

MatrixManNe0: Aagaard's Positional Play has the position after 36... Qxb2 as a puzzle in prophylaxis.

   May-19-22 Sean Pagaduan

MatrixManNe0: Hooray! Thank you!

   May-19-22 Sam Shankland (replies)

MatrixManNe0: 30 boards in total

May-10-22 Nisipeanu vs A Moreno Garcia, 2005 (replies)

MatrixManNe0: Without 25. b4, there is no 28. Bc5, no? Even if the black queen ends up on e7, white is without that extra tempo for the attack
