   Dec-17-17 T L Petrosian vs A Beliavsky, 2007 (replies)

BabalooMoon: What on earth is going on towards the end?

   Dec-13-15 A Ramirez Alvarez vs M Meinhardt, 2015

BabalooMoon: GM Ramirez was down to his last few seconds and playing with only a 5 second increment. "It was an opposite colored bishop endgame with Queens and I was up a pawn...any Queen trade is a draw. And I'm trying to win, I'm trying to win, I'm trying to win, I have 5 seconds left on ...

Nov-23-15 Bledow vs von der Lasa, 1839 (replies)

BabalooMoon: <Honza Cervenka> was right, back in 2003, 20...Ne4 seems to be the mistake. Black apparently has lots of playable alternative moves. Since the pawn on e5 is pinned to the unprotected rook on f5, the Knight is under no immediate threat. 20...Nd5 mentioned by <patzer2>

Apr-30-11 World Championship Candidates (2011) (replies)

BabalooMoon: I think Kazan is 10 hours ahead of MDT and the matches start at 15:00, so 5am I'm afraid.

   Apr-30-11 Cochrane vs Staunton, 1842

BabalooMoon: Instead of 19.Kh1 white could have tried 19.Ng4 Qg5 20.Kh2 or 19.Bc4 Qg5 20.Kh1

   Feb-06-11 T Abbas vs A EL Mahmoud, 2001

BabalooMoon: Oh dear, what a bizarre mess. 12.Re5?? is the kind of tragic move I would play. 12.Bd3 would have won immediately. 12.Bd3 Qg4/Qh5 13.Ng5 Qxd1 14.Nxf7+ Kc7 15.Bf4+ Kb6 16.Raxd1 Rg8(Bb4 Re6+)17.Bxh7

   Jan-22-11 V Goldfarb vs Rubinstein, 1907

BabalooMoon: The heartlessly objective Fritz believes 11...Ba3+ to be much stronger since after 12.Kb1 Black has the immediate 12...Bxc2+! The White King cannot capture since 13..Nb4+ would lead to a mate in 10 (appparently). This idea lingers and applies on move 13 in the game score also. ...

   Sep-21-10 Yelena Dembo (replies)

BabalooMoon: <cotoi> The game above follows Korchut-Glogowski (2005 email) until Black's 15th move. There are only 37 remaining moves to evaluate. <bartonlaos> <The serious flaw is a lack of proper normal controls> I couldn't agree more, I applaud your efforts.
