I like chess books. I also like chess videos and chess software but I like physical books the most.

I was working on a game collection but I decided I don't like the chessgames.com policy about collections. They say we relinquish all copyright to commentary and they make it very easy for people to copy our collections including all the text. So I think I will just make my own webpages.

   Feb-28-22 Bagirov vs T Giorgadze, 1955

Jabot: I wonder if black lost on time. The most obvious continuation to me gives an opposite colored bishops endgame. So I ran the chessgames.com analysis for a 6 second and a 25 minute analysis. This seems to be a case where the engine gives white an advantage even though it is clearly ...

Jabot: In his book "Positional Chess Handbook" Israel Gelfer gives a position (#24 p11) as coming from Bogatirchuk-Rabinovich Leningrad 1923. I'm curious because neither Chessgames.com nor chessbase have a game with the position that Gelfer gives. (I found the players in these databases by ...
