Chessgames Bookie: <Bradah> We'll take a look at your idea at the end of the season.
Aug-17-09  Bradah: <Chnebelgrind: I always asked myself, who on earth was betting all the time this small amounts on unlikely looking events. Could it be somebody who just came up from the underground to place 21, winning 3584 chessbucks for a 5 chessbuck ticket in Pick Three?>

Like winning a lottery, eh? :o);o)

Aug-17-09  technical draw: <Chnebelgrind: I always asked myself, who on earth was betting all the time this small amounts on unlikely looking events. Could it be somebody who just came up from the underground to place 21, winning 3584 chessbucks for a 5 chessbuck ticket in Pick Three?>

Yes, that's little ole me. Coming up from the underground but now not 21st but 12th. Yessir, those pick 3's make you king for a while.

Aug-17-09  DCP23: <technical draw> Welcome to the club! Top 12 make the Leaderboard.
Aug-17-09  technical draw: Thank you <DCP23>. But remember being on the leader board is not good enough. Only the top 10 get into the finals with 10,000. So I still have to go up two spots and stay there.
Aug-17-09  technical draw: Wow, 59 bets. The highest I have ever had at once. I hope I don't lose all 59.
Aug-18-09  Shajmaty: <Chessgames Bookie>: How can we bet for the 9th round of Jermuk, if yesterday's bets have not been refunded yet!!??
Aug-18-09  Shajmaty: <Chessgames Bookie>: Less than an hour for betting... and yesterday's bets not refunded yet. What is this?
Aug-18-09  gus inn: <Shajmaty> They are not playing in Jermuk today.

So,dont worry :)

Aug-18-09  DCP23: <gus inn: <Shajmaty> They are not playing in Jermuk today. So,dont worry :)>

They do play today. Rest day is tomorrow, the 19th. Today, the 18th, is a playing day.

Aug-18-09  malthrope: Correct <DCP23> :)

Round #9 will start in just 2 minutes.

<ChessBookie> - this bet is running loose and needs to be attended to:

Jermuk Grand Prix: Rd 9: Pick Three

You have this bet ending 23 hours after the start of the Round #9 games. Please make the necessary cutoff and adjustments when you get the time. Any bet made after 6 AM EDT (start of the round) should be disqualified - <period> ;) - Mal

Aug-18-09  gus inn: Yep,sorry , they are actually playing today !

Chessgames Bookie: <Shajmaty> Sorry for the late payouts. <malthrope> Thanks for pointing out the late closing of the Pick Three. We just refunded all bets made after 6 am.
Aug-19-09  Shajmaty: Thanks, <Chessgames Bookie>, <DCP23> & <malthrope>. Thanks also, <gus inn>.
Aug-20-09  DCP23: <Chessgames Bookie> Could you please set up betting for individual games from the 'Experience vs Youth'?

Chnebelgrind: score of FIDE Grand Prix Jermuk: Most Moves after 10 rounds:
1 Ivanchuk 610
2 Inarkiev 566
3 Leko 536
4 Alekseev 532
5 Kamsky 528
Aug-20-09  Bradah: Chessbookie, it seems like there is a computation glitz on the payout. Since this is a parimutel betting as you describe, the payout for Eljanov win be 10 chessbuck pays 30? I am confused.

Eljanov 10 2:1 2.90 A winning 10 chessbuck ticket pays out 29 chessbucks.

Cheparinov- not bets yet

Draw 20 1:2 1.50 A winning 10 chessbuck ticket pays out 15 chessbucks.

Chessgames Bookie: <DCP23> We have added bets on the 2nd round of the "Youth vs Experience" games, and will be having wagering on the rest of the tournament.

<Bradah> Odds displayed are only approximate and are rounded out for simplicity. In addition, fractions are rounded down in my favor, so if the odds says you should receive 29.75, you will actually get 29.00. More info on odds are at ChessBookie Game Help Page

Aug-24-09  gunsan: (c.g.) When I bet for real money with a real bookie it can take a while to collect the winmoney. But what is the point for the "Chessbookie" to wait to pay out?
Aug-25-09  bharatiy: when this leg will be over?
Aug-26-09  bharatiy: If you know how many chessbucks I have you will know why I want it to be over !!!

Chessgames Bookie: We've opened up wagering on the winner of the Montreal International tournament: Montreal International: Winner.

<gunsan> Sometimes we are just not in a position to pay off tickets immediately after the conclusion of a game, so you might have to wait until midnight to collect your winnings.

<bharatiy> The summer leg will end somewhere around the end of September. We'll give you the exact date later.

Sneaky: I'm back in the game!!! Well, not really. But it was a big score for a mere 25 chessbuck wager...

< Jermuk Grand Prix: Rd 10: Pick Three : White-White-White [cash in ticket] 25 YOU WIN! COLLECT 2457 97:1 >

Good old "white-white-white", I've gotten lucky with that one many times.

Aug-28-09  malthrope: <ChessBookie> - when you get some free time you may want to correct the betting duplication that has occurred in Rounds #2 & #3 from the Montreal International Chess Tournament.

Montreal International: Rd 2: Bacrot vs Tiviakov

and...

Montreal International: Rd 3: Bacrot vs Tiviakov

etc.

The correct Round #3 pairings here: http://www.echecsmontreal.ca/pairin...

Thanks <ChessBookie> :) - Mal
