WannaBe: I love this quote, but can't find the players page. Spelling of last name perhaps? I ended up finding Jacquiline instead.

Those who know the marvels of chess and wonder why this game of all games does not enjoy greater popularity may also ask why Pepsi-Cola is consumed by more people than Chateau Lafite, or the Beatles are more familiar than Beethoven. - Gregor Piatigorsky

WannaBe: Does he know how to play "Autumn Leaves"??
Apr-03-15  Mating Net: I would rather waste my time playing chess, than waste it reading http://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pygm...(play) Mating Net
Apr-03-15  technical draw: I met Gregor Piatigorsky in a chess tournament. He was a chess fan and patron. He took time before a concert to watch the final match of a tournament between Robert Byrne and Julio Kaplan (Byrne won). He had a young man carrying his cello case. Probably an aide or his son. The year was 1966 or 67.

No one asked him to play Autumn Leaves.
