On my iPad, though, I have not signed in and have been reading the site that way. Just now, I fired up my iPad to find that I am now signed on, even though I did not enter my new password. What is that about? |

In these cases, you'd have to give your new password when trying to log back in. It was always like that. <CIO> I don't know what to make of your report. Now, it is rather hard to see the cookie on my phone, but I can try to sign in using another browser (e.g. FireFox) close FF, and change the password in IE, then compare the two cookies. (Maybe later today, or tomorrow...) I know, that when you log out, it clears the cookie. (as <Annie K.> explained) Or you manually delete it. If you change password on one device, but not the other, and second device can still be recognized as signed-in; then it tells me once your login is validated, the same number/text string is used on (all) devices. So, now the question is, how did the password got exposed? There is a thing called "Man in the Middle" attack. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Man-i... Or possibly malware key-logger. Again, without details I really can't say anything... =(( |
