| Dec-10-09 | | SamAtoms1980: The funny thing is, there are NO games in which NN ---- the unknown NN ---- was white against Karpov. :-) At least I had the good sense to stay away from THAT particular dead end. |

 | | tpstar: <chessgames.com> Happy Birthday!! Looking forward to auditions for "Alberto & Daniel Plus Eight" - what should we wear?! Now *today* should be the day where we all get ultimate power. ;>D Then again, since the sky didn't fall, perhaps now is also the time to reconsider allowing your membership to help correct database mistakes and get through any backlog. Congratulations! =) |

 | | WannaBe: <Hesam7> During the birthday party, (For CG.com's 8th...) it was shredded and used as confetti for the revelers... |
|
| Dec-10-09 | | Billy Vaughan: <Hesam7> There were a few minutes yesterday where, due to a bug in the system, everybody posted under the name "chessgames.com" and had player administrative privileges. Posts made during that time were deleted. If you didn't post then, then I don't know ^_^. Happy 8th birthday Chessgames! I've been a member almost 2 years and I hope to stay many more. |

| Dec-10-09 | | Hesam7: <WannaBe: <Hesam7> During the birthday party, (For CG.com's 8th...) it was shredded and used as confetti for the revelers...> NO! I had posted an incredibly elegant but short proof of Riemann hypothesis ... |
|
| Dec-10-09 | | Billy Vaughan: But you didn't have any backup copies? I know what it's like. Just the other day I submitted a game with Fermat's Last Theorem in the annotations and now I can't find it anywhere. |

| Dec-10-09 | | crawfb5: <In years past, the Chessgames fans would sit on the clues page and press reload like maniacs, hoping to be the first one to see the new clue arrive. This year we've made that practice obsolete, by announcing in clear red letters at the top of virtually every page the instant a clue become available. So just use Chessgames like you normally do, and if you happen to be online while a new clue is released, you'll find out about it as soon as you load the next page, providing a link straight to the clue. It's just that simple!> Thanks for that. If it wouldn't be a major headache, might that notification indicate <how many> unsolved clues are current? |

| Dec-10-09 | | YouRang: <Hesam7><NO! I had posted an incredibly elegant but short proof of Riemann hypothesis ...> LOL!
It's really not that hard to prove. You just start with the Goldbach conjecture, and go from there. Of course, you then just have to prove the Goldbach conjecture... |
|
| Dec-10-09 | | RandomVisitor: Happy birthday chessgames and thanks for your patience in managing the "zoo" of characters that inhabit this site as they get their daily dose of chess. |

 | | WannaBe: Cats, Wabbits, Lurch, Dogs, Carp, Gila Monster (?!) you name it. Not to mention CG.com have to 'baby'-sit once in a while! |
|
| Dec-10-09 | | RandomVisitor: By the way, the "silicon" chip featured in clue number 2 is a HA13481S Three Phase Motor Driver with Speed Discriminator. It is used to control the motor on hard disks. Therefore the circuit board featured is from a hard drive. I just happened to notice that. |
