I sometimes post links to those video annotations on the relevant games here. Please use the "Subscribe" button on my channel page to keep notified of new ones.

Played in the main British Chess Championship twice now, scoring 4.5 and 5 respectively (out of 11 - it is tough!).

I have created various video annotation grouping pages, which may be of interest for you to check out:

I'm not named Kingscrusher for nothing. I learned chess at the age of 5 and have been addicted every since. It was through watching my father playing against my brother that I picked up the game.

My other hobbies watching the latest films, Computing, going out, seeing friends, watching TV.

The answer to life, the universe and everything was forty-two according the the hitchhikers guide to the galaxy. But maybe for chess players it should be 64!!

When i was nearly 18, I managed to win the UK LLoyds bank Under 18 championship! In later years I attained a FIDE rating through the Lloyds bank Masters tournaments and through other tournaments such as Surrey and all play alls organised through Adam Raoof. Currently FIDE rated 2177. My BCF grading has been fluctuating over the years and is currently about 185 BCF, and I am play for Board 1 for both Barnet chess club and Muswell Hill chess club. My full chess cv can be found here:-

(sorry for the use of Wayback machine!)

In 2008, I finally qualified for the British Chess Championship by coming 2nd= at the Southend Open tournament with an ECF 206 performance.

University- I studied computing in business and obtained a 2:1 honours degree

My life advice is: have fun and enjoy life to the maximum! - I hope that chessworld.net helps in this goal! :-))))

jessicafischerqueen: <Tryfon> I saw you updated the video playlist page at your website-

The first "Tryfon Gavriel by Kingscrusher" list is full now.

So here is the start of the second playlist-

-------------------

<Tryfon Gavriel TWO by Kingscrusher>

FIDE Candidate Master Tryfon Gavriel annotates his own OTB games- Playlist Number Two

http://www.youtube.com/view_play_li...

---

Could you also link this new playlist on your video page, as well as the playlist on your "Most Brilliant Moves" series?

Then all of your playlists will have a "home" where they can most easily be found.

---

<Most Brilliant Moves of All Time by Kingscrusher>

A new series by FIDE Candidate Master Tryfon Gavriel that examines brilliant moves in historical chess master games.

jessicafischerqueen: Oh sorry there's just one more playlist- if you could link this one as well to your video home page at your website then every one of your lists has a home.

As you know, once the number of views of each playlist rises, due to it being posted at your website or on the front page of your youtube channel, then each list moves up in the queue of search results for various chess-related keyword searches on youtube.

This one here I think could become very important over time as you get the opportunity to do more live interviews with various Chess Masters:

---------

<Kingscrusher's Movies>

Live action video by FIDE Candidate Master Tryfon Gavriel. Highlights include interviews with GM David Howell, GM Luke McShane, videos of chess venues, footage of letsplaychess Chess Socials, historical tours of London, and a trip to the zoo. Special interviews with Kingscrusher's chess trainer Kaylie.

Thanks :)

Mar-04-11  madlydeeply: Hullo KC i haven't figured out how to make a youtube account without giving google all my passwords which is annoying but i'm working on it ANYHOW i love that you found BxNf6 at 8:55 in this vid....

http://www.youtube.com/user/kingscr...

How does Lasker miss this dynamic tactical continuation? Clearly only one reason... he was PSYCHED OUT!!! by the whole Capablanca mystique

another fun video a lovely with my morning coffee... thanks!

Mar-04-11  madlydeeply: This makes me wonder...what comes first...the WC or the Mystique? You would think the Championship comes first...but I don't know...maybe the manufacture of off board PRESENCE is the key to WC. Hmm...not the case with Kramnik though....Kasparov was completely out mystiqueing him....but one or two berlin wall stands completely blew that aura away. Well it's in the formula somewhere...

ciao

  kingscrusher: Wiki links controversy:

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikipe...

They won't allow my playlist links on key chess players of the past - apparently according to "Quale",

"It's unfortunate because it sounds like I am disparaging the quality and value of your work when I say that it is my opinion that your video links are not appropriate for wikipedia biographies. I greatly appreciate the work that people do at wikipedia and elsewhere to increase the understanding, enjoyment and popularity of chess. I don't think the links are appropriate in the specific context of wikipedia. My primary concerns are the appearance of self promotion and the self-published nature of the works. Self-published sources are problematic as they are not subject to any editorial review or control. I don't think your credentials as a CM are sufficient to support analysis of the play of world champions or elite GMs. Quale (talk) 03:30, 11 March 2011 (UTC) "

jessicafischerqueen: <Tryfon> what if someone who wasn't you posted your vids on to wikipedia? Wouldn't that get around the "self publishing" and "self promotion" objections?

I doubt this "Quail" knows how to play chess.

  kingscrusher: Hi Jess

Maybe its best to leave it - I don't want a Wiki war particularly about it. I had an encounter a few years back - an "Edit war" over Anand videos. I thought the Play lists were cool because they would be a single link per player, but again it seems somehow they don't want videos. Anyway, I might pose the playlists to interested chess websites.

Thanks anyway and have a lovely weekend

jessicafischerqueen: Aha- I noticed from the comments that several of your viewers added to the Wiki Edit page in support of your petition.

Seems to me there is another issue regarding Wiki Chess editors who have administrative authority.

These people should preferably be titled players.

I know that at CG.com <FSR> is a titled player who is very active in improving and adding to Wiki Chess pages.

If someone like him were put in charge of deciding if a youtube video or playlist had enough chess merit to be included on a Wiki Page as a link, then this would be the best of all possible worlds.

I suspect that one of the other commenters on your video may be right- I think Wiki in general is suspicious about youtube.

Also, I think the "conflict of interest" argument is nonsense, same as the fellow who made a long, and convincing, point about this in the comments of your video.

Mar-30-11  redorc19: <kingscrusher> I would like to thank the contributions you make to YouTube and its chess related videos;I especially think your 5-minute games on ICC with you own live commentary is very interesting. Talking about a blitz game while playing it is extremely difficult, I can imagine, and actually can teach lessons to amateurs like me
Apr-08-11  madlydeeply: Hello mr Kingscrusher i don't think i can put a comment on your channel unless you friend me. Anyhow have you done a video of this complicated game? Have a lovely day.

  kingscrusher: Morning Jessica!

I hope you like this video:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wknQ...

I've been honest in it that the move played might not have been the soundest theoretically but then again - he wasn't playing against a state of the art engine.

jessicafischerqueen: <Tryfon> I think you did a great job in explaining the difference between daring, though not necessarily the most sound, moves OTB and the post game analysis of "the best objective move" as shown by modern chess engines.

You make this distinction in a way that shows how both aspects to chess are crucially important.

I was very happy that you took time to look in to Rossolimo and came to appreciate what a colorful and important figure he was in chess history- and how he dedicated his entire life to the game.

Thanks so much,
Warm regards- Jess

jessicafischerqueen: <Tryfon> thanks for putting me on your front page!

I did notice a spike in new views yesterday and wondered where they were coming from...

In other news, I'm currently editing the <Caro kan playlist> for the TOP SECRET project.

It's not so hard to find the videos, but I have to check each one before finalizing the playlist.

The "youtube search" engine can cough up some funny results.
