Kibitzer's Corner
Jul-04-06  mack: Ray was very happy with this one - so much so that he followed it until move 16 against Browne in the 1981 Master Game (which this database does not have).
Jul-04-06  WMD: Did Ray explain this during the programme or give the impression that it was all OTB inspiration?
Jul-04-06  mack: Nah, he mentioned the game repeatedly - much to Bill Hartston's amusement. I can make you a copy, if you wish.
Jul-04-06  WMD: Can you put it on YouTube?
Jul-04-06  mack: Not in the foreseeable future, but if you can bear to break your cover I would be more than delighted to send you all the Master Games I have (about twenty five in total). The more people who see them the better, frankly - they're a reminder not just of when chess was on TV, but when the BBC wasn't a complete waste of everyone's time.
Jul-04-06  WMD: Are these on tape or DVD?
Jul-04-06  mack: They're all on DVD.
Jul-04-06  WMD: Hmm, it would be nice to see Ray in his prime again.

I could set up a PO Box, I suppose.

Jul-04-06  WMD: How many DVDs in total?
Jul-04-06  mack: I can split them onto either three or four discs.
Jul-04-06  WMD: There's a potential mail order business opportunity there.
Jul-04-06  mack: I have no intention of making any money from it, that'd be far too sensible an idea.
Jul-04-06  WMD: And Ray would want a cut.
Jul-04-06  mack: Indeed. Just let me know.
Jul-04-06  WMD: You should create a games collection of Master Games.
Dec-20-11  JonathanB: This MasterGame is now on youtube.
