Kibitzer's Corner
Dec-30-08  KingG: Korchnoi was probably upset he wasn't able to win this game. There were probably many winning moves along the way, but 31.Nd5!! would have been a nice way to win.

31.Nd5 Qxd5 32.Re8+ Rxe8 33.Qxd5 d2 34.Qxc4 Re1+ 35.Qf1

31.Nd5 d2 32.Ne7+ Kh8(32...Kf8 33.Nxg6+ fxg6 34.Qf4+ Qf5 35.Re4! ) 33.Nxg6+ fxg6 34.Qh4+ Kg8 35.Qxc4+

Actually, White could have won immediately after 18...d4 with 19.Bxd4! Nxd4 20.Bxc8 Bxc8 21.Qe3, and Black won't have a passed pawn as compensation for losing the exchange.
