Well, not really, as <72...a4>

would have drawn the game for Petrosian rather easy, e.g.

<73.Kb7 axb3 74.Rxc7 b2 75.Rc6+ Kd7 76.Rxb6 Rxe4 77. Rxb2 Rxc4>

Nov-19-07  timhortons: <whiteshark> i believe the lipnitsky attack in sicilian is named after these guy..anyways youre drawing line looks easy but petrosian didnt find it:)
Jun-02-15  zydeco: I guess white decided he didn't like 43.Rxh6 because of 43....Qg7.

I'm surprised by 61....Bxa4 instead of 61.....Qe7 and by 63....Qd7 instead of, say, 63.....Kf8. It seems like exchanges favor white. Maybe Petrosian was worried that white could play b4 and swing the rooks to the a-file.

I don't see how white breaks through if black defends passively with 68....Kd6.

Why 74....a4 instead of 74....Rxb3?
