Kibitzer's Corner
May-07-04  ughaibu: Tal mentioned this game when discussing this one: Tal vs B Brinck-Claussen, 1966 It's interesting that he wrote that he was worried during the Brinck-Clausen game as he was trying to recall variations from so many years before, as it was Tal one would expect him to simply re-calculate all the variations. Brinck-Clausen considered 15....Ng4 but rejected it as he didn't like 16.g3 in reply. Tal said he would never consider playing g3 in this position as it weakens the long diagonal, "just a bad move needing no variation to prove it".
