Kibitzer's Corner
Jan-18-04  akiba82: If 12... Ne5 then 13. Qd4 Kb8 14. Qc3 a6 15. Nb6 . That must be why the book line is 7... 0-0-0 (instead of Bf3+ and Qf4) with the continuation 8. Ke3 Qh5 9. Be2 g5! 10. Ng5 Nf6 11. Rf1 Rg8 12. Nf3 Re8 13. h3 Ne4 14. Ne4 Qg6! with a clear advantage for black.
Aug-19-10  sevenseaman: 8. gxf3 is a variation from the normal 8. Kxf3 in order to save the B.
Aug-30-17  JPi: The question is why not simply 9...Qg5 10.Nxc7+ Kd7 11.NxR Kc8 12.d5 Ne5 13.Qd4 Kb8... 2 minor pieces for a Rook and a pawn should be a good exchange. Especially if both N got dark squares e5 (As already) and f4 (Ne7-g6-f4)...
