Sep-02-12  Zugzwangovich: How does one pronounce "Smejkal"?
Sep-02-12  I play the Fred: I've always assumed it sounded like putting an "S" in front of "Michael".

perfidious: Something on the lines of SHMAY-kal. No doubt <Honza Cervenka> can enlighten we native English speakers on this.

As an aside, 14.e3 is a well-known blunder which costs material. White had to play 14.f4 instead, as in Portisch vs Petrosian, 1966.
