Sep-21-10  ozmikey: Nice win by Tal. It's surprising how quickly White gets into trouble after 14. Nf3 - maybe 14. Nc2 is better, aiming to get to d5 eventually. Interesting how Black is able to delay his queen-side development until move 18 even in an open position...mainly because White has to worry so much about the safety of his king.

perfidious: This brings to mind an acronym I first saw in a book of Nunn's, LPDO (Loose Pieces Drop Off). It's White's pawns that get hoovered in this final position.

Unzicker, a player of markedly classical style, runs into difficulties once the game becomes open, because he never manages to co-ordinate his pieces.

  Honza Cervenka: 15.Qxe5 can be met with 15...Nc6 16.Qg5 Re8+ 17.Be2 Qc2 18. Qd2 Qxc4 with advantage of black. But 15.Nxe5 Re8 16.Kd2! Qg5+ 17.Kc2 (the Knight on e5 is safe due to black's weak back rank) 17...Bf5+ 18.Bd3 or even 18.Kb3 looks surprisingly playable.

Honza Cervenka: White should avoid trade of Queens with 25.Qa3.
Mar-07-22  SeanAzarin: Outstanding Tal
