FSR: This is the only game in the database with 5...Nc6(!), although unfortunately Black went nuts and lost. In my opinion 5...Nc6 is better than the usual 5...Bxd6, when 6.Nf3! 0-0 7.Bg5! Qe8 8.c5 Nc6 9.Qc3 Be7 10.Bxe7 Qxe7 11.e3 left White a pawn up with a playable game in Amura-Radu, Santiago 1990 (although W then played badly and lost). I think 5...Nc6 is superior because it avoids the 7.Bg5! line. Note that after 5...Nc6(!), the natural 6.Qe4+ Be6 7.dxc7? already loses to 7...Qd4! (Fritz).
Jul-13-09  muwatalli: please elaborate on the analysis of the move 7...Qd4! i only have freeware available to analyze positions and with toga 2 the position after 8.Qxd4 Nxd4 9.h3 gives white an advantage of +.51 it recommends Qxc7 or Qd1+.
thank you in advance.

FSR: <muwatalli> Sorry for the very belated response. I fed the position after 9.h3 into an old version of Fritz and it is, like your software, showing a small advantage for White! Maybe someone with better software at hand will take a crack at it. But at a minimum after 9.h3 the position looks a lot harder than I'd thought. I distinctly remember, though, when I first looked at this position with a version of Fritz running in the background it whipped out 7...Qd4! and showed . Strange.
