  tpstar: Here's something you don't see every day. White plays the Ruy Lopez Exchange, then Move 5 = h3!?, the idea being 5 ... f6?! 6. Nxe5! Qd4 (6 ... fxe5? 7. Qh5+) 7. Nf3 Qxe4+ 8. Kf1!? with a wild game favoring White, but also to avoid ... Bg4 ideas. The db shows 5 games with 5. h3!? Bd6 and Black scores well, although this Pawn sacrifice line (8 ... c5 9. Nb3 Be6!? 10. Nxc5! Bc8!? 11. Be3 Qe7) looks suspect. Why not 9 ... c4 10. Nd4 b5 instead, intending ... Bb7 but also ... 0-0, since White is screaming to play f4 busting it open? Or even 10 ... c5 & 11 ... b5 mobilizing the Queenside Pawns, then ... 0-0 later? Just a thought.
