Jun-14-05  Knight13: In the game Von Gottschall vs A Fritz, 1887, White played 5. d3, which leaded to 5... d6 6. Na5 Bg4 7. Qd2 Qe7 8. Nxc5 dxc5 9. f3 Bd7 10. Qf2..... Which I think is a better.

5... Be7 is a better move, since it's an active bishop and Bishops are slightly better than Knights in open games.

28. Rxe5!! is an important sacrifice. Brilliant moves leads to victory!

Jul-07-05  enchantingchap: knight13 - nice try with the comments. However, could you please refrain from posting until you have developed a more mature and developed style of analysis. Currently your posts offer little more than pointing out the obvious, or if not that then dubious chess observations of your own.
Jul-07-05  acirce: <enchantingchap> What level of chess understanding do you think is required to post here? Just so we all know.
Jul-12-06  enchantingchap: The level of beginner. My chief issue with Knight's posts is that he assumes an importance for his comments that is not justified by his level of knowledge or experience.

keypusher: <enchantingchap> I feel the same way about your comments. Please refrain from posting further until your knowledge and experience has increased by a factor of ten.
Feb-27-07  el ladron: Knight13 is simply expressing his opinion. Is he wrong? No. Yes those moves are a bit obvious, but last I checked, this site was used for learning and improving chess strategy. If ever it becomes a site restricted to grandmasters and experts, let everyone know. But for now, don't reprimand him for trying. Good stuff Knight13.
