Kibitzer's Corner
Mar-03-04  Whitehat1963: Crazy recklessness on both sides, but Maurian was obviously learning some lessons. He only got a knight at the start at this point.
Dec-31-08  WhiteRook48: Morphy had the Bishop pair for so long!!
Jan-01-09  WhiteRook48: definitely learning some lessons. Maurian had to be something like NN to get queen odds from Morphy in another game...
Jan-19-09  WhiteRook48: amazing draw.
Feb-10-09  WhiteRook48: perpetual?!
Mar-21-09  WhiteRook48: weird way to trade queens
Jun-11-11  lemonadepawn: too bad..
Jul-12-12  new in chess: Poor maurian, the wining is 15.Qxb6 axb6 16.Rxd2 Rxa3 17.Rad1 g6(Ne6)
Jul-12-12  JoergWalter: <new in chess: Poor maurian, the wining is 15.Qxb6 axb6 16.Rxd2 Rxa3 17.Rad1 g6(Ne6)> that looks convincing.

Maroczy in his Morphy book just mentions 23....Rd2 as improvement over Rd3. Black is Maurian / Le Carp (entier) according to Maroczy which makes sense as Maurian received Rook odds in other games from 1855.
