plang: Benko played 10 f5 to avoid mainline theory. I would think many contemporary players would play 10..Ne5 which seems a bit sharper. Golembek says that after the alternative 13..bxc 14 Bxe7..cxb+ 15 Kb1..Kxe7 that White's king is safer than Blacks - that is not so obvious to me. Looks at least worth exploring. Olafsson gave up material with 24..Be8 to end the White attack. Wouldn't it have been more consistent to hold onto his dark-squared bishop rather than accepting Benko's exchange offer with 29..Bxe3!?. Anyway, after that Benko had no difficulties converting the extra pawn.
Nov-14-13  zydeco: <plang> 10....Ne5 looks good. If 11.Qh3 0-0 12.fxe6 fxe6 13.Nxe6 Qb8 and I don't see a way to get out of ....Bd7 and ....Qc8.
